Pakistan’s young pace sensation Naseem Shah needs just five wickets to reach the 50 wickets mark in One Day Internationals.
Naseem Shah who made his international debut in 2019 played 24 ODIs for Pakistan and bagged 45 wickets so far at an economy rate of 5.29. Though Shah made his international debut in 2019 he waited nearly three years to make his ODI debut.
Naseem played his first ODI match on 16 August 2022 at Hazelaarweg, Rotterdam against the Netherlands where Shah returned with three wickets after bowling 10 overs at an economy of 5.10.
Notably, Naseem Shah was ruled out of the 2023 ODI World Cup due to an injury where Pakistan failed to qualify for the knockout stage after finishing in fifth spot in the points table.
Pakistan cricket fans hope Naseem Shah to execute an impressive performance in defending the Champions Trophy.
But in the very first game of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan faced a massive blow as their left-handed opening batter Fakhar Zaman sustained an injury. Pakistan have included Kamran Ghulam as his replacement in the field.
