The England pacer Mark Wood was seen limping off the field during the Champions Trophy 2025 fixture against England in Lahore. He was seen in discomfort while bowling his fourth over of the innings, and physio came to attend him.
It is understood the treatment didn’t work for the pacer, but he decided to complete his over while enduring the pain.
He walked off the field to get further aid. Even though the pacer returned to the field at the start of the 19th over to bowl an additional four overs, Wood was seen in discomfort later the innings again, before he returned back to the dressing room the following 43rd over.

England have recently felt with injury scare as they lost Brydon Carse from their squad after he picked up an injury during the Australia game and was replaced by Rehan Ahmed.
Mark Wood has battled multiple injuries throughout his career, had been ruled out for nearly a year in 2025 owing to an ankle injury.
Mark Wood had picked the wicket of Steve Smith, finishing with figures of 1/75. Afghanistan put up a mammoth score of 325 runs against England with an 177 knock from Ibrahim Zadran.
