The Champions Trophy 2025 clash between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been abandoned due to rain without toss.
Mohammad Rizwan-led Pakistan will lock horns with Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh to play the 9th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 27 in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.
Pakistan and Bangladesh have played 39 ODIs so far with Pakistan winning the race with a whopping 34 victories while Bangladesh have won just five games. This will be the first time that Pakistan and Bangladesh play each other in a Champions Trophy match.
Notably, this is likely to be the final ODI in an ICC event for two Bangladesh legends – Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah – with the team likely to transition to the younger players in the near future, building up to the next one-day ICC event.
The toss for Champions Trophy 2025 Pakistan vs Bangladesh match has been delayed due to wet outfield. But later the match officials called off the match.
Notably, the PAK vs BAN game becomes the second match to be called off due to rain after the Australia vs South Africa clash on Tuesday.

Pakistan and Bangladesh both ended their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign without registering a single victory. Pakistan, Bangladesh and England have been eliminated from the Champions Trophy 2025 while New Zealand and India qualified for the semi-final round.
South Africa, Australia and Afghanistan will contest for the final two spots of the knockout stage.
