The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has admitted that he had no fresh information on Bumrah’s rehab time and further fueled further speculation on the pacer’s return after the ODI series win against England.
Jasprit Bumrah is currently sidelined with a back injury sustained during the Sydney Test against Australia and has also missed India’s ongoing ODI series against England, with no news on his return.
He underwent scans and treatment that ruled him out of England’s tour of India in 2025. However, Jadeja while addressing the media after India’s victory in the second ODI against England in Cuttack, jadeja admitted had no fresh information on Bumrah’s rehabilitation timeline.
“I have no news about Bumrah. If he is fit, that will be great for the team and the country,” Jadeja said.

Jasprit Bumrah’s career has been plauged by injuries, causing him to miss crucial ICC tournaments, including 2023 WTC finals and T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022.
While India has secured series victories over England with Bumrah’s presence, his return would significantly strengthen the bowling attack. His ability to delivery under pressure, particularly in high stakes tournament, makes him an invaluable asset to the squad.
The BCCI has announced India squad for Champions Trophy 2025 which features pacer Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami with Hardik Pandya offering support as an all-rounder.
Bumrah’s return could further enhance the team’s bowling firepower, providing India with a formidable lineup for the marquee event.
India has one more ODI match to play in the home series in England before heading to Dubai to play in the ICC event.
As per India’s Champions Trophy schedule, the Men in Blues will play their first match against Bangladesh on February 20 at Dubai International Stadium.
They will involve in a high intense clash with their arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23 before playing their last group stage match against New Zealand on March 02.
