India and Australia clash has become one of the fiercest rivalries these days. After the powerhouses have clashed in three big stages of the ICC tournament, the excitement around the BGT has led to a record-breaking six times increase in the sale of tickets bought by Indians compared to the last season.

The Boxing Day test has seen an increase in ticket sales from Indian fans when compared to the 2018/19 season. Coming to the BGT trophy, two teams are set to lock horns in a five-match series after 33 years which will begin on November 22.

Joel Morrison, General Manager of Events and Operations at Cricket Australia has expressed his delight after the increase in ticket sales.

“We are thrilled to see so many Indian fans planning to travel to Australia for the NRMA Insurance Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. They can expect a very warm welcome here. We are committed to providing an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone attending, and we’re confident this series will be remembered for many years to come,” said Morrison.

Cricket Australia has come up with an idea to make a better view experience for Indian fans, creating an Indian Fan Zone for the first time in a Test series in Australia. These are specially designed to create a vibrant atmosphere for Indian fans, to gather along with fans fan-based community and celebrate among fans at all venues during the series.

Additionally, there has been a demand from corporate groups traveling from India, for Hospitality and to experience a better view of the boxing test.

The highly anticipated BGT will kick off with the first test played between November 22-26 at Perth Stadium. The second test will commence from December 06-10 at Adelaide Oval featuring a day-night format under the stadium’s light.

The third test will take place from December 14 to 18 during the day. The series reaches a crescendo with the traditional Boxing Day Test, scheduled for December 26-30 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

The Series will complete with the fifth test from January -3-07 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney expecting an epic finish in a high-stakes clash.
