Bhuvneshwar Kumar Bagged the First Wicket of the IPL 2024 by Dismissing Rachin Ravindra

Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged his first wicket of the IPL 2024 by dismissing Rachin Ravindra in the SRH vs CSK clash in Hyderabad. Bhuvi who was once portrayed as one of the best bowlers of the tournament made a struggled start this season.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar who plays IPL since 2011 bagged 171 wickets so far at an economy of 7.46 in 164 matches.

In SRH’s first three games which were played against KKR, MI and GT, Bhuvi failed to bag even a single wicket. Instead, the pacer returned with 51 runs(4 overs), 53 runs (4 Overs), and 27 runs(4 Overs) against KKR, MI and GT respectively.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged his first wicket of the IPL 2024 season by dismissing Rachin Ravindra for 12 runs in the very first delivery of the 4th over.

Winning the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first where Rituraj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra opened the attack for CSK.

CSK’s opening duo made a steady start but failed to convert it into a massive opening partnership. Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Rachin Ravindra for 12 runs and bagged his first wicket of the season.

Following his dismissal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rahane made a descent partnership and led the team to score 48 runs for 1 wicket loss at the end of 6 overs.

In the first delivery of the 8th over, Shahbaz Ahmed dismissed the CSK captain for 26 runs and made the necessary breakthrough. Shivam Dube who partnered with Rahane smashed a six and a boundary of the same over and made an aggressive start.

The duo then led CSK to score 84 runs for 2-wicket loss at the end of 10 overs. Soon in the 14th over, SRH skipper Pat Cummins dismissed Dube for 45 runs and broke the partnership in a much-needed time.

Following Rahane‘s dismissal for 35 runs, CSK struggled to make some massive shorts. As of now, CSK scored 139 runs for 4 wickets loss at the end of 17 overs.
