BAN vs SL Playing 11: Litton Das-led Bangladesh will square off against Charith Asalanka-led Sri Lanka in the 5th match of the Asia Cup 2025 on September 13 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have met on 20 occasions in the T20I format, where Sri Lanka has 12 wins while Bangladesh has 8 wins.
Bangladesh secured 2-1 win in T20I series played against Sri Lanka in July and will be aiming to replicate the success in the continental event clash.
Bangladesh made a solid start by a 7-wicket win against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup campaign while Sri Lanka are set to start their campaign against Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Charith Asalanka said, “We are going to bowl, looks like a new pitch so we want to bowl. Obviously yes. It’s a good memory and we want to keep the momentum up.”
“It’s a good challenge as a captain and we got a good bunch of players. 7-4 combo with three all rounders. Hasaranga is playing,” concluded Hasaranga.
Meanwhile Litton Das said, “Don’t mind batting first, looks like a good wicket. We played good cricket in the first game, we have to improve in certain areas. To win a game you got to get everything right. Taskin is not playing and Shoriful is in.”
