    A game-changing spell from Varun Chakravarthy has guided the Kolkata Knight Riders to restrict the Rajasthan Royals to 155 runs on Sunday clash.

    His 3/14 at an economy of 3.50 has made Rajasthan Royals crumble for the total at Kolkata. Varun has been out of form since the start of the IPL and showed glimpses of his comeback in the previous game.

    However, he deliveried an exceptional spell setting up a base for Kolkata Knight Riders to clinch their first victory in the IPL 2026 season.

    After choosing to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings while Vaibhav Arora opened the bowling attack.

    The young duo made a solid start scoring 63 runs for the powerplay. Varun Chakravarthy gave the first breakthrough dismissing Vaibhav Suryvanshi for 46 runs.

    He bagged his second wicket dismissing Dhruv Jurel for 5 runs. With the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal for 39 runs by Sunil Narine, Rajasthan Royals lost three wickets between 16 runs.

    Varun Chakravarthy bagged his third wicket dismissing Riyan Parag for 12 runs. With Sunil Narine bagging his second wicket by dismissing Donovan Ferreira, Rajasthan Royals lost 5 wickets for 124 runs.

    The most crucial over came from Karthik Tyagi where he dismissing Ravindra Jadeja and Shimron Hetmyer in the same over.

    He bagged his third wicket dismissing Ravi Bishnoi for duck and Jofra Archer got dismissed on a run out. By the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals scored 155 runs for 9 wickets.

    Kartik Tyagi and Varun Chakravarthy bagged three wickets each while Sunil Narine bagged two wickets in his spell.
