IPL 2021: The clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) in Ahmedabad later today has reportedly been postponed owing to a serious Covid concern in the Knight Riders camp. It is believed that multiple KKR players, including Pat Cummins, have fallen ill ahead of Monday’s clash.
IPL 2021: RCB vs KKR Match Postponed
According to a Sydney Morning Herald report, “several personnel within the KKR camp”, including Australia’s Pat Cummins, are currently unwell and, as a result, the organizers have decided to indefinitely postpone the match that was scheduled to be played at 7.30 PM IST today.

Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier were found to be positive in the third round of testing in the last four days. All other team members have tested negative for COVID -19.
Both the players have isolated themselves from the rest of the squad. The Medical Team is in continuous touch with the duo and are monitoring their health. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders have now moved towards a daily testing routine to identify any other possible cases and treat them at the earliest.
The Medical Team is also determining the close and casual contacts of the two positive cases during the 48 hours prior to collection of the sample that returned the positive test results.
The BCCI and the Kolkata Knight Riders prioritise the health and safety of everyone involved and all measures are being taken in that endeavour.
The Virat Kohli-led Royals Challengers Bangalore are sitting on the third place on the IPL 2021 points table with 10 points from seven games while Kolkata Knight Riders are in the seventh position with two wins from as many games.
IPL has not yet confirmed any dates officially for the KKR vs RCB postpone match of the IPL 2021.
