The Punjab Kings’ owner Preity Zinta has sent a heartfelt message to Priyansh Arya after his impressive knock of 103 runs off 42 deliveries during the IPL 2025 Chennai Super Kings.
He broke several records after scoring his maiden IPL century which included seven boundaries and nine sixes.
The 24-year old’s knock helped PBKS win the match to secure their third win of the season. Zinta recalled how she had met Priyansh a few days ago along with some of the other youngsters in the squad and felt the Delhi batter was quiet, shy and unassuming.
Talking to X Preity Zinta said, “Last night was beyond special. We witnessed an explosive game of cricket, the roar of a legend and the birth of a bright Star!”
“I met 24 year old Priyansh Arya with some of our other young players a couple of days ago. He was quiet, shy & unassuming & did not utter a word throughout the evening,” said Preity Zinta.

The PBKS owner said during the Knock, Priyansh’s talent spoke out loud and his aggressive brand of cricket stunned all of India. The PBKS owner hailed the young opener as the perfect example of how actions can speak louder that words and told him to keep smiling and shining and thanked him for crucial knock.
“Last night I met him again during the PBKS vs CSK game at the Mullanpur cricket stadium. This time his talent spoke out aloud and his aggressive batting style stunned not just me but all of India, as he etched his name in the record books for a blistering 103 off 42 Balls.”

Punjab Kings will play their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 12 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
