A stunning fifty from Nicholas Pooran has put Lucknow Super Giants on top during the IPL 2026 game against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium.
After coming to bat at no.3, he went on to smash fifty and scored 63 runs in 21 deliveries, making a solid impact in the game.
After being invited to bat first, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis opened the innings while Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack.
The duo made a decent start, before AM Ghazanfar bagged the wicket of Josh Inglis 13 runs. The wk-batter tried for a pull shot but did not connect well and went to mid on where Suryakumar Yadav took the catch safely.

Nicholas Pooran who came to bat at No.3, went on to deal with maximums as the side scored 90 runs in the powerplay.
In the 7th over the side reached 100 run mark and went to continue their onslaughter.
He fifty came from 16 deliveries which included 7 sixes and 1 four. Mumbai Indians bowlers had no answers for Pooran’s aggression.
On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh have been keeping up with Pooran scoring at 180+ strike rate. He got dismissed for 63 runs on a delivery from Corbin Bosch. He got dismissed on extra pace delivery and Ryan Rickelton picked the catch behind the wickets.
His knock included 8 sixes and 1 four. Rishabh Pant came to bat at No.4 and Corbin Bosch picked his second wicket dismissing Mitchell Marsh for 44 runs.
