One Day Cup 2026 Fixtures: The 12th edition of the One Day Cup is scheduled to be played between 21 July and 20 September 2026. Notably, in 2014, the One Day Cup was introduced as a replacement for the ECB 40 tournament, which ran from 2010 to 2013.
One-Day Cup (also known for sponsorship reasons as the 2026 Metro Bank One Day Cup) will be played in a group stage and knockout format. A total of 77 matches will be played between 18 participating teams.
2026 One Day Cup Teams
The 18 teams will be divided into two groups of nine, with the top three teams in each group advancing to the knockout stage. Worcestershire won last season and engraved their name in the One-Day Cup winner list for the first time.
The 2026 One Day Cup teams are placed into the following groups:
- Group A: Gloucestershire, Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Nottinghamshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire
- Group B: Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Essex, Glamorgan, Hampshire, Middlesex, Sussex, Worcestershire Rapids, Yorkshire
One Day Cup 2026 Fixtures
In the group stage of the competition, each county plays each of the other eight counties in its group once. Sussex will begin the 2026 season with a negative two points after agreeing to a financial support package from the ECB.
