We are gonna bowl. I don’t think too much is going to change. The last game here, it held up a bit more in the first half of the game. It came on quite nice in the back end. We just have to wait and see.

It’s alright, we get another game today (when he was told that his team haven’t been successful while chasing). He’s (KW) done something to his quad, that’s unfortunate. We have the big man Holder coming in.

Nadeem is in for Thampi. It’s been tough not to include him (Holder) in the team before. We backed our strengths – top-heavy, tried to defend as much as we could. But things have changed and we have to try something else.

I am always nice and calm. After a couple of losses, I was a bit edgy, now have had time to relax and gather my thoughts. It’s quite difficult in the bubble. For us, it’s about coming out and putting our best foot forward.

    Steve Smith | RR skipper

The wickets are getting older and older, slowing down late in the game. I was looking to bat. Not anymore, you get used to it (playing against Warner). We have been playing IPL for a long time now.

It’s part of the world. We are fortunate to be involved in such a great tournament. It was a good win the other night (against CSK). Our bowlers did an outstanding job and Jos was playing on a different wicket. We are heading in the right direction, playing good cricket for large chunks of the game.

We need to close it out. You got to play well to make it to the finals and you need to peak at the right time. We are getting some right form together and hopefully, we can put on a good show tonight. Same team.

Sanju Samson gets in to the strike. Samson and Stokes build a much-needed partnership. Again Holder’s spell makes another wicket bt dismissing Samson. Rashid Khan in the next over dismissed Stokes and makes a massive breakthrough. RR lands in trouble after losing back to back wickets. The much expected Stokes got dismissed for 30 runs and RR is in need to build a partnership to make a decent target.

While Steve Smith and Riyan Parag seem to make some quality runs it’s Holder again makes a couple of wickets in his last over. Holder dismissed Steve Smith and Riyan Parag in the 19th over and makes RR to bat with new batsmen.

SRH lands in trouble after missing it’s two aggressive opening batsmen. Pressure builds over the SRH as they are in need to build a steady partnership. Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar joins hand in this situation and leads SRH.

This duo with their aggressive strikes moves SRH to score 58 runs for 2 wicket loss at the end of the powerplay. This duo seems unstoppable as they build the much-needed match-winning partnership. With a boundary, Vijay Shankar leads SRH to register their first win of IPL 2020 while chasing.

    Man of the Match

    Manish Pandey | SRH

There were enough talks around our middle order. High time for us to perform. I just wanted to stay on the wicket and play my shots. Really happy that it came off today. We had the opportunity to win the game for SRH, really happy I’m standing here.

We had plans to see Jofra off and had a plan to take on the leggies and Indian bowlers, and it paid off. The first ball I middled through covers and I tried to keep my shape. I was hitting it well and I tried to get my team over the line.

Vijay was also long due and he stepped up for us batting at 4. We are trying to take positives from this match and we’ll try to keep it up for the rest of the tournament.
