    A brilliant performance from Kagiso Rabada has troubled the Mumbai Indians batters as he struck thrice in the powerplay, putting up the pressure on the MI lineup.

    Bowling with his extraordinary pace, he went on to pick the wickets of Danish Malewar, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav at regular intervals.

    Kagiso Rabada has been an integral part of the IPL since 2017. He has played 89 matches till now and has picked a total of 126 wickets ahead of this match.

    After being invited to bat first, Quinton de Kock and Danish Malewar opened the innings while Mohammed Siraj opened the bowling attack.

    Kagiso Rabada was impressive with the ball, as he dismissed debutant Danish Malewar for 2 runs on a lbw. The pacer attacks the stumps with a lengthy delivery which rapped Malewar’s pads.

    Hardik Pandya who came to bat, joined Tilak Varma and had a animated chat with the latter. Moving on the game, Tilak Varma went on a ramphage mode as went from 22-run 19 ball to 45-ball 101 by the end of innings and become the third cricketer to post century in the IPL 2026 season.

    He went on deal with sixes and fours and completed his century in 45 deliveries. He also smashed the joint fastest century for the Mumbai Indians and also etched his name in the list of fastest centuries in IPL history.

    Tilak Varma smashed his fifty in the first ball of the 18th over and went on to complete his hundred in 45 deliveries.

    On the other hand, Hardik Pandya played a second fiddle and scored 15 runs in 15 deliveries before being dismissed by Siraj.

    Sherfane Rutherford who came to bat, joined Tilak at the crease as Mumbai Indians scored 199 runs in their 20 over innings.

    Chasing a 200 run target, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opened the innings for Gujarat Titans while Jasprit Bumrah opened the bowling attack.

    In the very first ball, Bumrah bagged the wicket of Sai Sudharsan for golden duck. The batter tried to slice it over the covers but Bhagat who was in the cover point, took a comfortable catch.

    In the second over, Hardik Pandya bagged the wicket of Jos Buttler for 5 runs. He got dismissed on a lbw an with Ashwani Kumar bagging the wicket of Shubman Gill for 14 runs, Gujarat Titans lost three wickets for 40 runs.

    With Washington Sundar and Glenn Phillips at crease, Gujarat Titans scored 45 runs in the powerplay.

    Mitchell Santner who introduced to bowling in the 8th over, bagged the wickets of Washington Sundar and Glenn Phillips for 26 and 6 respectively.

    With Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan at crease, Gujarat Titans will be aiming to stabilise the innings and complete the chase.
