The IPL organising board has changed the 46th match schedule from its original date. The official statement reads: “The TATA Indian Premier League match 46 between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, originally scheduled for Thursday 4th May 2023 in Lucknow, has now been rescheduled for Wednesday 3rd May 2023”.

The fixture has been revised owing to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election on 4th May. There has been no change in match timings and the game will begin at 3:30 PM IST.

Rajasthan Royals currently hold the top spot in the IPL 2023 points table while Delhi Capitals struggle to register their maiden victory of the season.

BCCI introduced Impact Player Rule in IPL 2023 season and bring up a major change in IPL history. The rule was implemented in the Syed Mushtaq Ali earlier this year and was later introduced in the IPL 2023 season.

Both teams are allowed to use one Impact Player per match. It is, however, not compulsory. It is up to teams whether they want to use the Impact Player or not.
