We are going to have a bowl. Going with the trend of the tournament, win the toss and bowl. I know them, but they also know me very well. It’s like playing against my brothers today. We have been good with the ball, we need to improve with the last two overs. Josh Hazlewood is back, excited to see what he will do with the new ball. We also have an exciting youngster (Suyash Prabhudessai) coming in.

We would have bowled first as well, looking at the wicket. We’ll look to come here and play competitive cricket. The toss is not going our way, something that’s not going out way. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa gets into the crease to lead CSK while Siraj opens the bowling attack.
Though Gaikwad imagined to make an impact in this match, his ex-teammate Hazlewood dismissed Gaikwad for 17 runs and makes the first wicket for CSK.
With Uthappa’s 88 and Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 95 runs CSK scored 216 runs for 4 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.

M Theekshana in the third over dismissed dangerous Faf du Plessis for 8 runs and draws the first blood for the team. At the end of the powerplay, RCB scored 42 runs for 3 wickets loss.
Jadeja in the next over dismissed Maxwell and removes him for the seventh time in T20 cricket. RCB struggles to build a partnership.
At that situation, Suyash Prabhudessai and Shahbaz Ahmed build a partnership that threatens CSK’s bowling unit. But M Theekshana in the 13th over dismissed Prabhudessai for 34 runs and breaks the partnership.

We were looking for the first win and I am really happy that I contributed for the team. It’s a honour for me. I am more focused this time and focusing on basics. I spoke to many seniors – Mahi bhai also helped me to improve the game. He said, ‘Just be focused, just be still, just let the skill work in the game.’
I wanted to time the ball really well. I tried to maintain by balance. Yuvi pa is always a role model for a left-hander. Many people told me that I bat like him. As the situation demands, as the captain and coach tell me, I am ready to bat anywhere.
