Indian Cricket Players Salary: BCCI allotted the salary for the Indian cricketers (both Men and women) based on their performance, which reflects in their points to get positioned in the BCCI’s grading system.
BCCI so far announced four grading systems for Men’s cricketers and three grading systems for women’s cricketers.
Indian Cricket Players Salary List
Indian Cricket Players Salary: A Cricketer in India earns in a lot of ways, like Advertising, sponsorship, becoming a brand ambassador, playing other Cricket leagues like IPL, owning brands, and more.
Qualification for BCCI’s annual central contacts:
- A category – All three formats, at least 2 formats, Test cricket necessary
- B category – Two formats
- C category – Single format player
BCCI’s Grading System for Men’s
BCCI pays for both International and domestic cricket teams for both men and women categories.

BCCI’s Grading System for Women’s
BCCI has increased the match fee for women domestic cricketers in the year 2022. Senior women (playing XI) will get INR 20,000 per match day where they were receiving INR 12,500 before.

Men Cricketer’s Salary
The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday, February 09, has announced the central contract for the 2025-26 season.
Sai Sudharsan has been handed maiden contract while Shubman Gill has been moved to Grad A for the first time.
Apart from the BCCI annual salary, the players will also receive an income for playing in every Test, ODI, and T20I match.
An Indian player has a fixed match fee of Rs 15 lakh for a Test match. For an ODI, a player earns Rs 6 lakh while he earns Rs 3 lakh for every T20I. Those who don’t make it to the playing XI draw 50% of the match fee.
Test Cricket Incentive Scheme for Senior Men
Commencing from the 2022-23 season, the ‘Test Cricket Incentive Scheme’ will serve as an additional reward structure on top of the existing match fee for Test matches, set at INR 15 lakhs.

Indian Women Cricketer’s Salary
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Women) for the 2024-25 season (October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025).
As for Men cricketers, Women cricketers will also receive the same amount of match fee for all three formats. As per the rule, women cricketers will receive the following fee per match across the formats:
- Tests – 15 Lakhs(per match)
- ODIs – 6 Lakhs(per match)
- T20Is – 3 Lakhs(per match)

Bonus for Indian Cricketers
Apart from the Indian cricket players’ salaries, every Indian cricketer would receive a reward for their individual performance in all three formats of matches. This reward money is not included in their match fee.
- Rs 500,000 for scoring a hundred in a test or ODI
- Rs 700,000 for a double hundred in the test
- Rs 500,000 for 5 5-wicket haul in Test, ODI, or T20
- Rs 700,000 for a 10-wicket haul in test matches
