India vs England Test

England were currently on tour of India to play 4 match test series, 5 T20I along with 3 ODI matches.

In the first test match, England beat India by 227 runs where England skipper Joe Root scripts a record by hitting a double century in Chennai ground. In the followed Test match India won the toss and opt to bat first.

With Rohit Sharma‘s impressive 161 runs from 231 deliveries makes India to score 329 runs for 10 wickets loss. The strong batting order of England can’t able to withstand in front of Ashwin’s spin spell. Ashwin took his first 5 wicket haul of the year 2021 by dismissing D Sibley, Daniel Lawrence, Stokes, Olly Stone, and Broad.

In the second innings after the top order failed to score Ashwin with his impressive bat work scored 106 runs and drags India to score 286 runs. Again the Indian bowlers load pressure over the England batsman and bagged them while scoring 164 runs. Finally, India equals by 1-1 by beating England by 317 runs.

Bairstow was given a rest after the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, where he had scores of 47, 35 not out, 28, and 29.

Wood was also given a break after the series in Sri Lanka where he went wicket-less in the first Test and took three wickets in the second.

“Moeen Ali will return to England for a break while Jonny Bairstow and Mark Wood join the squad having been rested for the first two Tests,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement.
