The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will follow the group stage and knockout stage format.
- A total of 12 teams will be divided into two groups and will participate in group-stage matches.
- They will be competing with each other within the group, and the two top teams from each group will be advancing to the knockout stages.
- In the knockout stage, a total of 2 semifinals and a final game will be played to decide the winner of the tournament.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: A total of 33 matches will be played between 12 teams in the tournament to determine the winner. Notably, 10 teams played in the previous edition of the tournament.
In addition to the hosts, a total of eight teams have automatically qualified for the tournament through the Women’s T20I Team Rankings, while the remaining four teams will be qualified by the regional qualifiers. Teams have been divided into two groups.
