    BCCI to take action on U19 Players For Ugly scenario?-Kapil Dev Suggest

    The final match between India and Bangladesh in U19 2020 didn’t end as expected. As the young players are out of their emotions and starts clash in the ground that creates an ugly scenario. After the U19 finals clash Legendary Kapil Dev comment the incident as “horrible”, saying cricket is no more a “gentleman’s game”. Kapil Dev who lead the Indian team that won the 1983 world cup comment on this incident and felt very bad for this.

    Kapil Dev craved BCCI

    The ICC took action against  players who primarily induced the arguments. Two from India-Akash Singh and Ravi Bishnoiand three from Bangladesh-Md Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain and Rakibul Hasan found guilty for breaching the Code of Conduct. Though ICC took actions on the players, Kapil Dev craved BCCI to take strong action on players to set an example.

    Kapil Dev’s emotion

    Kapil Dev said “Who’s saying cricket is a gentleman’s game? It’s not the gentleman’s game, it was!”.

    “What happened between those young people I think it was horrible. The cricket boards should take hard steps today so that tomorrow these type of mistakes do not happen,” included it in an event.

    He added : “You lost the match, you have no right to go back to the ground and fight with anybody. Come back. You should give more blame to the captain, manager and the people who were sitting outside. Sometimes, if you are an 18-year-old boy, he doesn’t understand. But if you’re a manager, that’s your responsibility to take care of the situation”.

    Captain’s view

    The U19 Bangladesh captain Akbar Ali said, “As a youngster, it shouldn’t happen. In any position, in any manner, we have to show respect to the opponent, we should have respect for the game”.

    The U19 India captain Priyam Garg said,”We were easy. We think it’s part and parcel of the game – you win some and you lose some. But their reaction was dirty. I think it shouldn’t have happened. But it’s okay”.
