“Yo-Yo Test and Dexa Will Now Be Part Of Selection Criteria”, BCCI

The BCCI organises a review meeting of Team India over their recent performance in the T20 World Cup 2022 on January 1, 2023.

India made an impressive start by registering a victory against their arch-rival Pakistan in the thrilling final over match. Though India holds the top position in the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Group B Points Table, they failed to make an entry to the final.

India faces a 10-wicket defeat against England and once again broke millions of Indian fans’ hearts. While everyone expects Rohit Sharma‘s captaincy will bag them the ICC trophy which Indian fans expect since 2013.

Team India lifts their last ICC trophy under MS Dhoni in 2013 where he led the team to beat England in the finals of the Champions Trophy 2013.

Yo-Yo Test and Dexa will now be part of the selection criteria

Post the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final defeat, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid claims that an extensive experience of playing the Big Bash League in Australia contributed to Jos Buttler and Alex Hales’ absolute dominance over India.

Earlier a report states that BCCI is planning to introduce a new head coach for the T20I format.

The meeting has been convened just 2 days prior to the Sri Lanka series. The Sri Lankan cricket team is scheduled to tour India to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is between January 3 to January 15 next year.

The meeting was attended by newly appointed BCCI President Roger Binny, Jay Shah, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Chetan Sharma. During the meeting, the issues of player availability, workload management and fitness parameters were discussed at length along with the roadmap to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be hosted by India during October and November 2023 and will be the first time the competition is held entirely in India.
