Indian women cricketer Yastika Bhatia said that she would love to play for the Mumbai Indians team in the women’s IPL league which BCCI plans to host from next year.
Yastika Bhatia’s Favorite IPL Team
Yastika Bhatia who made her Women’s One Day International (WODI) debut on 21 September 2021, for India against Australia. Notably, In January 2022, she was named in India’s team for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
“Whichever team picks me (in the Women’s IPL) it’s fine, but if I get a choice, I would love to play for Mumbai Indians. I have followed that team since childhood and it has been my favourite team,” Bhatia was quoted as saying in Sportskeeda.
Bhatia, who’s also a big fan of Hardik Pandya, mentioned that she prefers to interact with her teammates on a regular basis to maintain a healthy atmosphere.
“I have loved keeping since childhood. Like Mithali Di said, I talk a lot (laughs). I can talk for hours about cricket. So, whenever I keep, I talk to the players so that the atmosphere remains lively and it is a lot of fun. As positive the atmosphere is, the better the performance will be,” he stated.
The left-handed middle-order batter have played 1 test match, 13 ODI’s, and 3 T20I’s and scored 22, 371, and 49 runs respectively.
