Virat’s Cricket Carrier
Virat Kohli is one of the most loved, followed youth icons of the day who has a huge fan base across the world.
Kohli made his ODI debut in 2008 against Sri Lanka at the age of 19. With his consistency, he gets his place sealed in the squad that won the ICC World Cup 2011. Virat Kohli gets into the spotlight when he scored his maiden ODI century against Sri Lanka in 2012.
No one can easily forget his stunning, counter-attack of 133* off 86 balls that helped India chase down 321 in less than 37 overs in Hobart in a tri-series clash against Sri Lanka. After the back to back massive innings Virat has become an inseparable member of Team India.
It nearly took three years for Virat Kohli to make his test debut in 2011 after his ODI appearance.
It is hard to forget the infamous tweet from Sanjay Manjrekar in 2012 where he criticizes Virat Kohli’s test performance. Manjrekar said Kohli should be given one more Test “just to be sure he does not belong here”.
The aggressive batsman answered Manjrekar in his way by scoring a Test hundred in Australia by the end of the same month. He then sealed his spot in playing XI. He single-handedly defied Ryan Harris, Ben Hilfenhaus, Peter Siddle, and Nathan Lyon, scoring 116 while no other Indian batsman crossed 35.
Virat made his T20 debut on Jun 12, 2010, vs Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. Kohli also found success in the T20 format by winning the Man of the Tournament twice at the ICC World T20 (in 2014 and 2016).
Virat made his IPL debut on Apr 18, 2008, in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. He plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and has been the team’s captain since 2013.
Though he remains successful in International formats Virat still struggles to lift the maiden trophy for RCB in IPL.
Kohli as Captain
Kohli was appointed the vice-captain of the ODI team in 2012 and handed over the Test captaincy following MS Dhoni’s Test retirement in 2014.
In early 2017, he became the limited-overs captain as well after Dhoni stepped down from the position. In ODIs, Kohli has the second-highest number of centuries and the highest number of centuries in run-chases in the world.
Kohli’s social work
The run machine has not only helped Indian cricket but also doing his best to help athletes from other sports achieve the zenith via The Virat Kohli Foundation (VKF).
Kohli launched a foundation under his name in 2013 and has silently been helping budding athletes and underprivileged children from all walks of life to achieve their dreams and help India become a sporting nation.
Virat’s Promotion as Father
Beyond his national and social work, Virat gets a new promotion as a “father”. Virat Kohli ties the knot with Indian actress Anushka Sharma on 11 December 2017 in Tuscany. On 2020, August 27 Virat and Anushka announces that they are expecting their first child together.

Virushka moves to UAE
Post the announcement Virat moves to UAE along with Anushka to get part in the IPL 2020. He leads RCB in IPL 2020 and also faces the same fate as in previous IPL seasons.
India tour of Australia
After the completion of IPL 2020, Virat along with the Indian team moves to Australia to play 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is, and 4 Test matches.
India lost the ODI series in Australia and won the T20I series against the host. India set to play 4 test matches against the men in yellow where Virat captains the first test match and leaves for India to be with his wife for their first baby birth.
Kohli leaves Australia
Virat who expects his first child in January has given paternity leave by BCCI. According to which Virat Kohli left Australia after the completion of the 1st Test the match where India lose by 8 wickets.
In his absence, Ajinkya Rahane lead the Indian side and registered a glorious victory in the 2nd Test vs Australia.
The 32-year-old posts a heartwarming wish for the winning Indian team via Twitter from India.

Where is Virat Kohli now?
Virat Kohli has moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra after getting married to Anushka Sharma. Kohli bought a lavish flat in the “Omkar 1973” Towers located in the Worli area in South Mumbai.
He bought the 7,171 sq. ft. sea-view apartment on the 35th floor of this Tower C of this super-luxury project for Rs 34 crore the tower, it has a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
Virat Kohli is expected to be in the same location with his wife Anushka Sharma who expects their first baby in Jan 2020.
He celebrated the new year 2021 with Hardik Pandya and his wife Natasa Stankovic along with Anushka Sharma and their friends.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli blessed with a baby girl
Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are blessed with a baby girl. Anushka Sharma gave birth at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on January 11.
“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope you can respect our privacy at this time,” Virat wrote in a social media post.
