The 20-year-old batter Vishen Halambage, along with Dushan Hemantha, has earned a maiden national call-up for the Sri Lanka squad for Zimbabwe T20Is.
He is one of the five changes to the squad from Bangladesh last month, and with Nuwanidu Fernando and Kamil Mishara, was drafted in alongside all-rounder Dushmantha Chameera.
Meanwhile Avishka Fernando, Dinesh Chandimal, Jeffrey Vandersay, Eshan Malinga and injured Wanindu Hasaranga.
With Charith Asalanka continue to lead the side, he will be accompanied by T20 campaigners like Kusal Mendis, Matheesha Pathirana, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana among others.
With Hasaranga sidelined, Sri Lanka will rely on Maheesh Theekshana and Dunith Wellalage will be leading the spin department in the T20I series against Zimbabwe.

The series concludes on September 07 just two days before the Asia Cup 2025 action begins in the UAE, and the last date for announcing the Asia Cup squad has been stated as the August 30 by the Asia Cricket Council.
