Virat Kohli’s Wax Statue to be Installed in Jaipur Wax Museum on April 18

Virat Kohli’s Wax Statue to be Installed in Jaipur: Jaipur Wax Museum in Nahargarh unveils the first look of the wax status of ace Indian cricketer Virat Kohli which will be installed on the upcoming World Heritage Day, April 18.

Anup Srivastava, the Founder-Director of the Jaipur Wax Museum, revealed that the decision to immortalize Kohli in wax was prompted by numerous requests from visitors, especially children and young people, who admire the cricket star.

“Last year, there was a demand to make a statue of Virat Kohli from tourists, especially kids and youth who are crazy about the Delhi opener.

Now that Virat has also become a sports icon for children and youth, what could be a better occasion than now when he has reached the highest level in world cricket, to install his wax statue.

So, we also decided after batting great Sachin Tendulkar and former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a wax figure would be created for Virat,” Anup Srivastava, Founder-Director of Jaipur Wax Museum said as quoted by ETV Bharat.

Notably, the museum presently has a total of 44 wax figures, including those of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Kalpana Chawla, Maharani Gayatri Devi, Amitabh Bachchan, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mother Terresa, Sachin Tendulkar, and M.S. Dhoni, among others.

The wax figure has been sculpted by Ganesh and Lakshmi, under the creative direction of Srivastava. The 5 feet & 9 inches tall statue weighs 35 kg, the costumes for which have been designed by fashion designer Bodh Singh.
