In a recent picture going viral on the internet, Virat Kohli’s white beard has caught the attention of netizens, which has stirred speculations over ODI retirement.
Virat Kohli announced his T20I retirement on June 29, 2024, after India claimed the title in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 final.
The legendary right-hand batter then went on to announce his Test retirement on May 12, 2025, which leaves him to play only in ODIs for India.
On this occasion, his latest picture from England, where he is currently living with his wife Anushka Sharma and two children – Vamika and Akaay has left fans worried.

The former captain was looking very different and his new look came as a shock for fans. During an event last month in England, Kohli revealed the reason behind his decision to retire from Test cricket and said, “I just coloured my beard two days ago. You know it’s time when you are colouring your beard every four days.”
And the latest picture of him in grey beard has left fans worried who fear that Kohli might step away from ODIs as well.
The Indian Cricket team will not play any international matches in August 2025, whereas Men in Blues will travel to UAE to take part in the Asia Cup 2025.
The continental event will be played from September 9 to 28 across two venues. In the first couple of weeks of October, India will face the West Indies in a two-match Test sereis at home.
Following the conclusion of the second test in Delhi from October 10 to 14, the Indian team will travel to Australia for a three match T20I series.
The first ODI stadium is scheduled to take place at Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19 and the next two matches will be played on October 23 and 25 in Adelaide and Sydney.
