    In a recent development, Virat Kohli‘s childhood coach has revealed the recent talks with the veteran and dropped a massive statement regarding the star batter’s ODI retirement.

    His statement has given answers for Virat Kohli’s chances to feature in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027. Kohli announced his retirement from T20Is last year, and his recent test retirement has raised questions from ODI have been discussed across cricketing community.

    Virat Kohli is now active in only ODI and IPL, there have been concerns over Kohli’s ambitions to finish his career in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 in South Africa due to a lack of game time with Men in Blue.

    However Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has sparked a new topic saying that the star batter may feature in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.

    While speaking on the sidelines of the DPL 2025 auction, Rajkumar said, “I’m really hopeful. He should play in the World Cup.”

    Regarded as best batter of this era, Virat Kohli’s next generation in his family is following a different path in the game of cricket.

    The Indian batting icon’s childhood coach revealed Kohli’s nephew Aryaveer, son of his brother Vikas Kohli , has chosen to become a leg spinner.

    The son of Kohli’s sister Bhawna, is also a leg spinner, Aryaneer was picked by the South Delhi Superstarz after being signed for INR 1 lakh during the Delhi Premier League 2025 players pool draft.

    “I am glad. Aryaveer is a promising, sincere, and hardworking kid. The Delhi Premier League is a good platform for him to go ahead in his career. Aryaveer was always a good bowler. Not just him, but Ayush is a leg-spinner too,” said Rajkumar Sharma.

    Notably, Aryaveer and Ayush are both training at the West Delhi Cricket Academy, where Kohli also learned the game.

    This is the academy where Virat Kohli trained under coach Rajkumar, and now the next generation of his family is following in his footsteps, hoping to make their own mark in the game.
