Virat Kohli has become the third player in the World to complete 14000 ODI runs after Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara.
He achieved the milestone during the IND vs PAK clash in the Champions Trophy 2025 played on February 23.
He achieved the feat in his 287th innings 63 less that Saching who took 350 to do so. Virat has been known as one of the best batsmen in the world. He has 50 centuries in the format surpassing legendary player Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in ODI cricket. He has 18426 runs in his 463 matches he played. Meanwhile, second place goes to Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkar who has 14234 runs in 404 matches.
Kohli has an average of 57.78 in the Limited over format, having 73 fifty plus scrores. Despite a dip in form, he is anticipated to make a huge impact during the ongoing Champions Trophy.
During the match, Kohli surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin in taking the most catches for an Indian fielder in ODIs. He surpassed former India captain’s tally of 156 catches. The other Indians on the list are Mohammad Azharuddin (156), Sachin Tendulkar (140), Rahul Dravid (124), and Suresh Raina (102).
Only Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene (218) and Australia’s Ricky Ponting (160) have taken more outfield catches across all teams in ODI cricket.
Earlier Pakistan scored 242 runs in their innings after Saud Shakeel, Rizwan and Khushdil made their contributions. Kuldeep Yadav picked three wicket haul while Harshit Rana had one.
Meanwhile Indian all-rounder played a huge role in Pakistan’s batting collapse to restrict a huge total in the match.
