The UP Warriorz has posted the highest WPL total in the 2025 season match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru played on March 08 at Lucknow.

They went on to break records of DC women’s highest run total in the WPL they made in the 2023 season to post the highest total in the tournament’s history.

RCB women who won the toss, opted to bowl first. The UP Warriorz openers Grace Harris and Georgia Voll were in hot form scoring 67 runs and recorded the highest powerplay runs of the season with Grace Harris scoring 30 and Voll scoring 34 runs to give a solid start for the side.

However, Harris was dismissed on a runout in the first ball of the 8th over. After the dismissal of Harris for 39 runs, Kiran Navgire joined Voll to haunt RCB bowlers in the match.

Meanwhile Georgia brought second WPL fifty and went on to score 99* runs and become joint highest individual scorer along with Sophie Devine in the tournament.

Kiran Navgire went on to score 46 runs in 16 deliveries and narrowly missed a fifty in the match.

After Georgia Wareham picked the wickets of Kiran and Chinelle Henry (19), Sophie Ecclestone contributed 13 runs while playing along Voll. In the end, UP Warriorz went on to score 225 runs in their 20 overs.

UP Warriorz has been eliminated from the tournament after two wins out of seven matches while Royal Challengers Bengaluru has two wins out of six matches in the ongoing season.

Georgia Voll who missed her century said, “When you get sent into bat, you want to put up a good total. We sort of did that. Probably should’ve got a couple more in the last few overs, but we’re happy with that.”

“It’s a good wicket to bat on. I probably should’ve known she was going to bowl that (missing out on the hundred last ball). Couldn’t get enough bat on it unfortunately. Early on the shorter stuff held up a bit.”

“Got quicker towards the end, nice batting wicket. You don’t feel much pressure when you have Grace Harris at the other end. Unfortunately we’re out of the finals race, but nice to finish off with a couple of good innings.”

“Overall the boundaries are short, so if you can get it in the gap, most likely it’ll be a four. Not really a plan to target the short boundary.”
