Travis Head has won his maiden Allan Border medal at the 2025 Australian Cricket Awards. He managed to get 208 votes in total, 50 more than Josh Hazlewood and 61 more than Pat Cummins.

Head has been successful across all three formats and had a productive year. In total, he managed to score 1427 runs across formats including four centuries. He also beat his fellow teammate Alex Carey to bag the Men’s ODI Player of the Year Award.

“It’s been a good year. I’m lucky to have played all formats and will enjoy this accomplishment,” said Travis Head from Galle.

“I feel like the Indian series, the Test series that’s just gone. Nice to contribute. It’s such a big five or six weeks.”

Hazlewood who picked 30 test wickets at an average of 13.17 won the Shane Warne Test Player of the year award whereas Adam Zampa was named the Men’s T20I player of the Year.

Adam Zampa was awarded for his exploits in the shortest format. His 35 scals in 21 matches were the most for an Australian In T20Is which earned him the honour of being the Best T20I Cricketer of the Year.

On the other hand, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Cooper Connolly were named joint-winners of the BBL player of the tournament award.

Meanwhile, Annabel Sutherland won her first ever Belinda Clark Award after a century in the one-off Ashes Test against England.

She also made 210 against South Africa in Test match at the end of last season and across formats. She hit 798 runs in the year at an average of 46.94 apart from 34 wickets.

Annabel Sutherland managed to clinch the award ahead of Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney who were named the Women’s ODI player of the year and T20I player of the year respectively.

Gardner’s all-rounder show saw her score 385 runs and pick 23 wickets in the voting period whereas the consistent Mooney made 618 runs in T20Is at an average of 47.53 with a strike rate of 129.83.
