As per the IPL 2024 schedule, Mumbai Indians are scheduled to face SRH on March 27 in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians who played their first match of the season against Gujarat Titans lost the game by 6 runs and failed to break their decade-long jinx of losing their first match of the respective season.

SRH who played their first game of the season against KKR also lost their match by just 4 runs in a thrilling final over match.

Both teams who were desperate to register their first win of the season were scheduled to face each other in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the game, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first where Mayank and Travis Head opened the attack.

Though Mayank made a slow start, Australian batter Travis Head turned aggressive and went on to hit the fastest half-century for SRH in IPL in just 18 deliveries.

Gerald Coetzee somehow managed to dismiss Head for 62 runs in the final ball of the 8th over but Abhishek Sharma on the other hand continued his aggression by hitting boundaries in all possible deliveries.

Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs off 23 balls and pushed the team’s score beyond the 150 runs mark. Mumbai’s senior bowler Chawla dismissed dangerous Abhishek and made the much-expected breakthrough.

As of now, SRH scored 172 runs for 3 wickets loss in 12 overs where Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen stand at the crease with 21 and 8 runs respectively.
