Tim Seifert and Johnson Charles have helped Saint Lucia Kings to secure a 7-wicket victory in the CPL 2025 game against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Their knocks helped the side to claim the top position in the CPL 2025 points table. Batting first, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots went on to score 177 runs in their 20-over innings.
Evin Lewis and Andre Fletcher opened the innings for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots while Khary Pierre opened the bowling attack.
Roston Chase got the first breakthrough dismissing Evin Lewis for 18 runs and Patriots scored 57 runs in the powerplay.
Fletcher went on to score 37 runs off 23 deliveries before being dismissed by Shamsi. He went on to bag the wicket of Mayers for 27 runs while Rizwan went on to smash fifty.
Rizwan (60) and Jason Holder (21) remained unbeaten by the end of innings to post 177 runs in the game.
In the pursuit of chasing 178 runs, Tim Seifert and Johnson Charles opened the innings for Lucia Kings while Kyle Mayers opened the bowling attack.

The duo went on to score 85 runs for the first wicket as Salamkheil dismissed Johnson Charles for 47 runs.
With Ackeem Auguste’s dismissal for 29 runs, Seifert went on to score 68 runs as the duo was sent by Naseem Shah.
With Roston Chase and Tim David’s unbeaten 15 and 16 runs respectively, Saint Lucia Kings scored 180 runs in 17 overs respectively.
Tabraiz Shamsi was named as the Player of the Match. Speaking on the post match conference, Shamsi said, “Special feeling, as a player, just want to play your part, I have been given a bit of a different role by the captain and I’m glad I’m able to play it well.”
“The batters were on fire once again, a complete team-effort I would say. We had two washed out games we would have liked to play, we dropped some points there,” added Shamsi.
“It’s nice to get another win in front of our home crowd. When you find your rhythm and the games come thick and fast, it’s nice as well and you try to put in your best,” concluded Shamsi.
Saint Lucia Kings will play their next game against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on August 31 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.
