The SLC has announced an 18-member Sri Lanka Squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, which is set to begin on January 07.
The squad will be led by Dasun Shanaka, who has been named captain for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
However, several players who are part of the Sri Lanka Preliminary squad have missed out on the Pakistan series, including Pavan Rathnayake, Sahan Arachchige, Milan Rathnayake, Pramod Madushan, Dilshan Madushanka, and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth.
Niroshan Dickwella, who made a return to the T20I format for the global event, has not made the cut in the team for the home series against Pakistan.
The batting department brings in a strong lineup with the inclusion of Pathum Nissanka, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, and Dhananjaya de Silva.
Meanwhile, the spin department includes Wanindu Hasaranga, Dunith Wellalage and Maheesh Theekshana, while the pace department will be led by Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Thushara and Eshan Malinga.

The tour will be crucial for both sides in their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026. Ahead of the ICC event, Sri Lanka will be playing a three-match T20I series against England from January 30 to February 03.
As per the Pakistan tour of Sri Lanka 2026 schedule, all the T20I matches of the series will be played on January 07, 09 and 11 at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.
