Indian batting coach Sitanshu Kotak backs Rohit Sharma who is struggling to find his form back in the ODI format. Rohit Sharma who once threatened the opponent’s bowling lineup recently slumped in his form and struggles to score runs.

With the Champions Trophy nearing, his lean patch in the ODI format worries the fans and cricket experts.

Though many cricket experts threw their point of view on Rohiti Sharma’s terrible form, now Indian batting coach Sitanshu Kotak opens up on Rohit Sharma’s form and claims “he’s always been scoring runs” in One Day Format.

“I personally don’t think there’s any problem. The last 3 one-dayers Rohit has played, he has scored 58, 64 and 35. The guy has got 31 one-day hundreds.

Sometimes whenever there’s a little lean patch, I don’t think I’d be worried or thinking about their form. Yes in Tests in Australia it was a tough time. About one-dayers, he’s always been scoring runs so not concerned”, India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak on Rohit Sharma’s form.

Notably, in 2024, Rohit Sharma featured in just three ODIs and scored 157 runs at an average of 52.33 which includes just two fifties.

With just a few days for the Champions Trophy 2025, fans expect the Indian star players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to find their forms back to lead the team from the front.

As per the Champions Trophy 2025 India schedule, the men in blue will play their first match against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
