The CWI has announced the West Indies playing 11 for the first test of Australia’s tour of the West Indies, which is set to begin on June 25 at Kensington Oval.
With Roston Chase set to make his captaincy debut, Shai Hope and John Campbell have been returned to the test side after four and three respectively.
Hope will be taking over wicketkeeping duties and will bat at number six. He last played for the West Indies back in 2021 and is returning to the team with a new responsibility.
“We’re looking to play with a bit more flair and bring back that Caribbean style to the game,” Chase said.
“We’re just looking forward to making the Caribbean nation proud. I just want to ask the fans to just support the boys through and through.”
