The 24-year-old Pakistan Shaheen Afridi was fined 25 per cent of his match fee for making voluntary physical contact with Matthew Breetzke during the Tri-Nation ODI series.
Shaheen Afridi was charged with breaching level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct, but he escaped a ban.
Meanwhile, Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam also faced penalties for Aggressive celebrations during Pakistan’s win over South Africa.
Afridi’s case is similar to that of Virat Kohli who escaped a ban for an on-field altercation with Sam Konstas during the Border Gavaskar Trophy test series.
It is clear that Shaheen Afridi and Matthew Breetzke were involved in a heated on-field argument during the virtual semi-final of the ODI tri-series between Pakistan and South Africa at National Stadium.

Afridi was not impressed when Breetzke came up with a reaction after smashing a Yorker. Both involved in a heated-exchange a few words in the 28th over of the South African innings.
Shaheen Afridi deliberately stood in the way of Breetzke’s runs shouldered the young South African batter.
Meanwhile, Saud Shakeel and substitute fielder Kamran Ghulam were also fined 10 percent of their match fee for aggressively celebrating South Africa captain Temba Bavuma’s wicket in the 29th over of the innings.
Both players were found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the Code, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match”, the ICC said.
All three players were handed a demerit point, but they escaped further sanctions because they had no history of collecting any demerit points in the 24 months. If a player collects four demerit points in a 24-month cycle, he or she will be banned for one Test or two ODI matches.
All three players accepted the sanctions proposed by the governing body. Meanwhile Mohammed Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha hit a hundred each to help the side to qualfiy for the final which will be played on February 14.
