    Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf went on to make impressive spells and guided Pakistan to an 11-run victory against Bangladesh in the Super 4s clash of the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai.

    Their 3-wicket hauls have helped the side secure a win and advance to the finals to meet India in the summit clash.

    After being put to bat first, Pakistan’s openers, Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman, failed to give a solid start as Farhan lost his wicket for four runs by Taskin Ahmed in the first over.

    Saim Ayub once again got dismissed for duck from Mahedi Hasan’s delivery. With Fakhar Zaman and Salman Agha at crease, Pakistan went on to score only 27 runs in the powerplay.

    With Zaman and Hussain Talat’s dismissal for 13 and 3 runs, Pakistan went on to lost 4 wickets for 33 runs.

    After Salman Agha and Shaheen Afridi’s 19 run knocks each, Pakistan went on to lost 6 wickets for 71 runs.

    However, Mohammad Haris (31) and Mohammad Nawaz (25) knocks, the Men in Green did revive their innings before their dismissals at the hands of Mahedi Hasan and Taskin Ahmed.

    With Faheem Ashraf’s 14* runs, Pakistan went on to score 135 runs in their 20 over innings.

    Taskin Ahmed bagged three wickets while Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hossain went on to bag two wickets each.

    In the pursuit of chasing 136 runs, Saif Hassan and Parvez Hossain Emon went on to open the innings, while Shaheen Afridia opened the bowling attack.

    Shaheen Afridi picked first two wickets for Pakistan dismissing Parvez Hossain and Towhid Hridoy for 0 and 5 runs respectively.

    Meanwhile Haris Rauf picked the wicket of Saif Hassan for 18 runs and Mahedi Hasan’s dismissal put Bangaldesh in trouble as they lost 4 wickets for 44 runs.

    With Nurul Hasan and Jaker Ali’s dismissal, Bangladesh went on the brink of losing the game. However, Shamim Hossain went on to show some resistance scoring 30 runs before being dismissed by Afridi.

    Despite Rishad Hossain and Tanzim Hasan Sakib’s knocks, the side failed the chase the target and lost the game by 11 runs.

    Pakistan will be facing India once again in the continental event on September 28 at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
