Sarfaraz Khan smashed a half-century and scored 62 runs before departing on a run-out mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja. Sarfaraz Khan’s debut has been a recent topic of Indian history.

He has been one of the most consistent performers in Indian domestic cricket over a few years. While receiving his Test cap from Anil Kumble, Sarfaraz Khan’s father Naushad Khan shed tears of joy and made an emotional comment in the stadium.

However, BCCI selectors took time to include the player in the Indian squad. Sarfaraz Khan scored a 48-ball half-century, the joint fastest by an Indian Test debutant after was sent out on a runout after a mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja.

While speaking up at the dismissal at the end of day 01. “At times there is miscommunication, and it is a part of the game. Sometimes you get run out. Such kind of things happen,” said Sarfaraz Khan.

“I talked to him at lunchtime. I am the type of batter who likes to talk while batting about what is going on. So, I told Jadeja to keep talking to me while I bat. He supported me a lot today and spoke to me at lunchtime,” Sarfaraz Khan said.

“He told me how the debutants feel and how he felt as a debutant. I was a bit nervous, especially when I played my first sweep and missed it. But he told me to take some time and it would be easy. I listened to him and tried implementing it.”.

“He said there was a bit of miscommunication, but I said it’s okay.” The Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja smashed centuries and made India reach 326 runs on the first day of the third test.

Rohit and Jadeja had an impressive partnership scoring 204 runs. After the end of day 01, Skipper Rohit Sharma was frustrated with Sarfaraz Khan’s dismissal and threw his cap.

India lost seven wickets on day 02 of the third test at the time of writing at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
