The PCB has unveiled the Pakistan squad for the Asian Games 2026, to be played in the September-October window.
The 15-member squad will be led by Sahibzada Farhan, with several fresh names included in the squad. Meanwhile, Abdul Samad has been named as the vice captain.
Uncapped Players Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood will be making their T20I debuts during the event.
Farhan has made 46 T20I appearances for Pakistan and will be leading the side for the first time. The 30-year-old had scored 1305 runs, including two centuries and two half-centuries.
The Pakistan squad for the Asian Games is almost similar to the squad that featured in the T20 World Cup earlier this year, where the regular white-ball captain Salman Agha, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan have been excluded.
Usman Khan has been considered the primary keeper in the squad. With part, selected players are currently involved in Pakistan’s preparations at the National Cricket Academy.

Fourteen members of the Asian Games squad are also part of the NCA white-ball camp, which is scheduled to begin in Lahore on June 15.
The team will be accompanied by support staff led by head coach Mike Hesson. Ashley Noffke (bowling coach), Shane McDermott (fielding coach), Muhammad Tahir (Physiotherapist), Imran Ullah (trainer), and Usman Hashmi (analyst/operations coordinator) will be part of Mike Hesson’s support staff.
The 2026 Asian Games will be played in a T20 format, to be played between September 24 and October 03.
The Asian Games contest will feature ten teams – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Oman.
Teams like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka secured automatic qualification, along with hosts Japan.
