The uncapped spinner Joshua Bishop has been included in the West Indies squad for the upcoming test series against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Kirk McKenzie has earned his first test recall since 2024 as the West Indies announced a 15-member squad for their home series against Pakistan.
However, Alzarri Joseph will be missing the tests, who was unavailable for selection due to personal reasons.
Bishop is a left-arm orthodox spinner with 119 wickets in 25 first-class games at an average of 23.90. He is the highest wicket-taker in the last three West Indies Championship seasons, picking 91 scalps.
Meanwhile, the left-hand batter McKenzie will be replacing John Campbell, who was ruled out of the Test series due to a left hamstring strain during the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand.
McKenzie return comes on the back of a strong performance in the latest season of West Indies championship, scoring 323 runs in six innings at an average of 64.60.
Meanwhile, the right-arm pacer Andershon Phillip has missed his spot in the squad. The squad will be led by Roston Chase, with Jomel Warrican named as his deputy.
He returned with the figures of 1/72 and 1/27 while having scored only 0 in the game.
Both sides are in the bottom two positions of the WTC 2025-27 Points table.
The opening match of the series will be played at Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25-29. It will be the first Test match ever staged at the venue, making it the 13th ground in the region to host Test cricket. The second match will be played between August 02-06 at Historic Queen’s Park Oval from August 02-06.
