Sadaf Shamas has been ruled out of the T20I series of Pakistan Women’s tour of Ireland 2025 after tearing her left triceps during a practice session in Karachi.
Opening batter Shawaal Zulfiqar will be replacing her in the squad for the T20I series. Zulfiqar has played three ODIs and seven T20Is so far, was part of a skills camp in Karachi last month and will be joining the Ireland-bound squad on August 03.
“Sadaf Shamas has been ruled out of Pakistan’s Ireland-bound T20I squad after tearing her left quadriceps muscle during a practice session in Karachi,” the PCB said in a statement.
“The 26-year-old batter will be replaced by Shawaal Zulfiqar, who was part of the 24-player Skills camp in Karachi.”

Ireland women and Pakistan women has played on 19 occasions where the latter boasting a dominant record with 15 victories.
The last T20I series between the two sides was played in 2022, which Ireland won 2-1. The T20I series will begin on August 07 and all the games will be played on Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast.
