RCB Women who is set to bat first during the 9th match of the WPL 2025 against UP Warriorz slammed 42 runs losing a wicket in the powerplay on February 24.
After Smriti Mandhana left the field for 6 runs, Ellyse Perry joined Danni Wyatt and continued to haunt UP Warriorz bowlers during the match.
RCB Women has won two out of three matches, while UP Warrioz has one victory out of three matches in the ongoing campaign so far. Mandhana-led side remains top in the WPL 2025 points table.

Speaking at the toss Deepti Sharma said, “We are going to bowl first. The ball moves in the powerplay. We have the same mindset as the last game.”
“The toss doesn’t matter much for me. The way we play our cricket matters more than anything else. We need to improve our fielding, we have had a discussion on the same. We are playing with the same XI.”
Meanwhile RCB captain Smriti Mandhana said, “We would have loved to field first. Toss isn’t a big factor as there’s not much dew here at the Chinnaswamy.”
“We would have loved to win the last game. In cricket you start from the first ball. We have figured out a few things, need to apply them in this match. We have one change, Rana comes in. Perry’s available to bowl a few overs.”
