The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB Women) has set a target of 148 runs in the match against Delhi Capitals (DC Women) on March 01 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Bengaluru has a poor record on the home ground in the WPL 2025 season and will be looking for a win in the ongoing match. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals will be looking for a win to keep their winning momentum.

Batting first, Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt opened the innings while Marizanne Kapp opened the bowling attack.

However, they lost the wicket of Smriti Mandhana for 8 runs and scored only 45 runs in the powerplay.

Ellyse Perry joined Danni Wyatt in the batting to speed up their run score to put a big total in the scorecard.

After Danni Wyatt dismissed for 21 runs, Raghvi Bist joined Perry to balance the side and helped the side to cross 100 run mark. Meanwhile Ellyse Perry slammed fourth fifty of the season and went on to score 60* runs off 47 deliveries.

After the dismissal of Raghvi Bist for 33 runs by Nallapureddy Charani, the latter went on to bag the wicket of Richa Ghosh in the same over of the match.

With Georgia Wareham’s 12 runs, RCB women went on to put 147 runs in the match.

Speaking at the toss, Meg Lanning said, “We are bowling first. That seems to have worked pretty well for us throughout the tournament. But it’s a new day today and facing RCB is a big challenge.”

“We try and switch off throughout the day and come back and be switched on during this time. We don’t rely on one or two players. we have got good depth and we have got to look to them tonight.”

Meanwhile RCB women captain Smriti Mandhana said, “Would have bowled first today. With my tosses having lost four in a row, have to be ready for batting (smiles ruefully).”

(on the crowd) They have come out in huge numbers in the last three games, could not do much, last home game for us, hopefully we will do them proud today.”

“Having a fresh mindset every match is what is spoken about, franchise cricket you can’t predict much, you will do right and do right wrong. We had a good discussion and the girls seem very positive.”
