The Kolkata Knight Riders scored 223 runs against Rajasthan Royals during the 31st match of the IPL 2024 schedule where Sunil Narine smashed a century for the side.

He becomes the third KKR batter to smash a century in IPL history. In responding to the score, Rajasthan Royals scored 76 runs losing two wickets by the end of power play.

Coming to the match, Sunil Narine continued to bat despite the fall of wickets at regular intervals. The other opener Philip Salt was sent out with 10 runs, Angkrish Raghuvanshi stood aside Sunil Narine to score 30 runs on 18 deliveries.

He had a tough start on the day as he scored only 26 runs by the end of power play but managed to score 50 in 29 balls. During Ashwin’s over, he picked 15 runs, hitting two fours and a six.

After Shreyas Iyer was sent out with 13 runs, Andre Russell was sent out with 13 runs. With Venkatesh Iyer sent out with 8 runs, Rinku Singh scored an unbeaten 20 in 9 deliveries. Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Sen picked up two wickets for Rajasthan while Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult bagged one wicket each.

Finally, Kolkata Knight Riders amassed a score of 223 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler opened for Rajasthan as the former sent out with 19 runs by Vaibhav. Sanju Samson was sent out with 12 runs while Riyan Parag scored 34 runs in 14 deliveries including four fours and 2 sixes.

The middle-order batters were sent out with single digits, but Buttler set to continue to bat and in a pursuit to score a half-century. Rajasthan Royals scored 125 runs in 13 overs losing 6 wickets at Eden Gardens.
