Team India spinner Piyush Chawla admired Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni ahead of his preparation in CSK camp. Chawla has been dragged by CSK franchise for the upcoming IPL 2020.

Delayed IPL

Cash rich Indian Premier League has been scheduled to begin from March 29, due to the out break of corona virus BCCI postponed the match to mid of April. As the COVID-19 spreads in a rapid speed, Indian government imposed a 21 day lock down which coincide with the postponed IPL date.

Team India former skipper MS Dhoni has been last seen in world cup semi final match against New Zealand where India lost the match. His name hit the media when BCCI announced the center contracted player list without MS Dhoni’s name.

After a period of 8 month MS Dhoni is set to play in IPL 2020 which could set as a platform for his International return. BCCI and Indian head coach too confirmed that MSD’s performance in IPL would drag him a slot in upcoming T20 world cup.

MSD started his IPL practice session in keen to get his slot back, where he exposed an impressive performance by hitting five sixes in five consecutive balls during the practice session.

Chawla Regards Dhoni

“Mahi Bhai was absolutely focused, training purposefully and was looking really good. He was showing match-like intensity in the way he was batting and keeping and that was rubbing off on the others,” official website of CSK quoted Chawla as saying.

CSK’s bowling coach regards Dhoni

“MS is a natural athlete and supremely fit. He did not look rusty, did not look one bit like he was away from the game. He was clearly looking forward to the season, the way he was training, batting, keeping and being involved with the team,” Balaji said.

Lakshmipathy Balaji, CSK’s bowling coach, also claimed that Dhoni was looking forward to making his comeback and was training very hard to be fully fit for the competition.
