Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat. Speaking at the toss, Matthew Breetzke said, “We are gonna have a bat first, the wicket is very used, so we would like to put a score on the board and try and defend it.”
“In a game like this, you feel that runs on the board are important. (On what will be a good score on this surface) We will assess in the first ten overs but something over 290 would be probably good.”

“A last-minute change for us – Qeshile is a bit injured so Rubin Hermann replaces him and makes his debut. Also, Ngidi comes in for Linde,” concluded Matthew Breetzke.
Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi said, “We would have liked to bowl first so it’s fine. In the last game, few decisions didn’t go in our favour, we had a few changes as well. Naseem and Wasim are rested, Abrar and Haris are in. Winning always feels good so we will try to give our best here.”
