KL Rahul on Winning Toss in 1st ODI vs Australia

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, BCCI named KL Rahul as the stand-in captain of the Indian cricket team for the 1st ODI vs Australia.

The Australia tour of India 2023 will be played in two sets and the ODI series will be played before the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The 5-match T20I series of the Australia tour of India 2023 will resume after the World Cup 2023 completion.

The 3-match ODI series will lay a foundation for team India in their preparation for the ODI World Cup 2023.

The first game of the Australia tour of India 2023 will begin with an ODI game on September 22 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Prior to the game, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid opens on Ashwin-Iyer’s comeback for Australia ODIs.

After winning the toss, Indian stand-in captain KL Rahul said “We’ll bowl first. Historically a good chasing ground, that’s about it.
