    “What a Phenomenal Triumph” Nita Ambani Hails U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Winning Squad

    Nita Ambani has congratulated India’s U19 team for clinching the T20 World Cup for the consecutive year following the side’s 9-wicket victory over South Africa in the finals of U19 women’s T20 World Cup 2025.

    After a stellar performance in the inaugural edition of the 2023 tournament, India women successfully defended their championship in 2025, defeating South Africa by 9  wickets in the final held in Malaysia.

    The victory has sparked widespread celebrations across the nation, as the young cricketers inspired millions of females in the country.

    Among those celebrating their achievement were Reliance Foundation chairperson and International Olympic Committee member Nita Ambani, who expressed pride in the team’s remarkable success.

    “Champions again! Congratulations to our incredible Girls in Blue for winning the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup for the second year in a row! What a phenomenal triumph! Your grit, passion, talent, and hard work have made us all proud.”

    “You’ve shown the world that India, Indian sport, and Indian women are truly unstoppable. Your stories and your journeys are an inspiration for generations to come. Keep shining!” Nita Ambani said.

    Kayls Reyneke-led South Africa bowled first in the final match on Sunday, but their decision backfired quickly as India’s three pronged spin attack bowled them out for 82 runs in 20 overs.

    South Africa were bundled out for 82 runs as Gongadi Trisha returned with three wickets. Parunika Sisodia, Aayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma scalped two wicket each. Gongadi Trisha hit an unbeaten 44 runs off 33 deliveries to help India get over the line.

    Gongadi Trisha finished as the highest-run scorer of the tournament with 309 runs and was named the player of the match and player of the tournament.

    Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla topped the wicket-taker list, taking 17 and 14 wickets, respectively.

    “I’ve dreamt of this moment for the past two years, and I can’t believe I hit the winning runs—it’s truly surreal. My teammates’ support made all the difference, and this moment is one I’ll cherish forever,” said Sanika after the match.
