After Nasum Ahmed’s three-for, Tanzid Hasan’s unbeaten knock has powered a huge win for Bangladesh in the second T20I match of the series.
By this win, the hosts secured a 2-0 unassailable lead in the Netherlands tour of Bangladesh 2025. Bangladesh achieved a positive result ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. Batting first, Max ODwod and Vikramjit Singh opened the innings for the Netherlands while Mahedi Hasan opened the bowling attack.
Nasum Ahmed got the first breakthrough picking the wicket of Max ODowd for 8 runs, while Teja Nidamanuru and Vikramjit Singh lost their wickets for duck and 24 runs.
By the end of powerplay, Netherlands scored 40/3 and the middle order crumbled with back to back dismissals cheaply.
Edwards and Shariz Ahmad scored 9 and 12 runs while Noah Croes, Sikander Zulfiqar and Kyle Klein scored only 2,2 and 4 runs respectively.

However, Aryan Dutt scored 30 runs down in the order which helped the side to cross 100-run mark.
In the 18th over, Netherlands lost all 10 wickets for 103 runs. Nasum Ahmed picked three wickets while Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur had two wickets each. Tanzim Hasan and Mahedi Hasan bagged a wicket each.
In the pursuit of chasing 104 runs, Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan opened the innings for Bangladesh, while Aryan Dutt opened the bowling attack.
With Parvez scoring 23 runs before his dismissal, Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das went on to complete the game with unbeaten 52 and 18 runs.
Nasum Ahmed was named the player of the Match. Speaking on the post match conference, Nasum said, “Pretty happy with what I achieved. The crowd encouraged me. Worried about the dew factor but there was extra turn.”
The final T20I match of the series will be played on September 03 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
