    Mustafizur Rahman to Miss SRH Clash due to US Visa Process

    The CSK bowler Mustafizur Rahman is likely to miss the next game against Sunrisers Hyderabad to process his US Visa for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the US and West Indies.

    Mustafizur Rahman will not be available for CSK’s next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 05 and is expected to return by the start of next week depending on when he gets his passport back.

    A Monday return would be close to missing the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 schedule which is set to be played on the same day.

    “Mustafizur arrived last night from the IPL for US visa purposes for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He will be giving his fingerprint at the US embassy tomorrow (April 4) and later will travel back to India to join Chennai,” said BCB Cricket chairman Jalal Yunus.

    Mustafizur Rahman has played a crucial role for CSK in the ongoing tournament, bagging seven wickets in three matches he played. His four-wicket haul in the first match of the IPL 2024 between CSK and RCB. He picked up 2/30 in the game against Gujarat Titans where Chennai won the match.

    But during the match against Delhi Capitals, he conceded 47 runs from his four overs in one wicket. Mustafizur Rahma will be available until the end of April in the ongoing IPL 2024 season as he will be joining the National side to play in a five-match T20I series on the Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh 2024.

    “His NOC for the tournament runs till April 30 and we are expecting him to be back after that from IPL,” Yunus added.

    On March 16, BCB officially announced to host Zimbabwe in a T20I series at the start of May as preparation for the T20 World Cup 2024. Coming to the tournament, Chennai Super Kings secured the third position of the IPL 2024 points table.

    Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be playing in the 18th match of the IPL 2024 campaign at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
